While looking for a home away from the “busy” center of Kas, we came across a 150-year-old natural stone house in the small village of Bayindir in 2018 and fell in love at first sight. The house reminded us of rusticos in Italy and fincas in the interior of Mallorca and was exactly what we were looking for. We lovingly brought the house back to life, restored it and transformed it into a small, fine hotel with just six rooms. We placed great value on natural materials for the furnishings and found great support from local craftsmen in the realization of our plans. Handmade cupboards and shelves made of cedar wood, chairs and tables made of solid wood, beautiful hand-woven kilims and carpets, special lamps and pictures….. And all of this, of course, complemented by contemporary amenities such as air conditioning, WiFi, fridge, rain showers…..

Kale Lodge is idyllically situated in an enchanted little garden, which – like the infinity pool – promises hours of relaxation with sun loungers and parasols.

We chose the name Kale Lodge because of the location of the house, as it is slightly elevated, like a castle, and the Turkish word for castle is “Kale” ….
